Lines.
The
ship
was
built
in
1972
at
the
Finnish
shipyard
Wärtsilä
Helsinki
Shipyard
as
MS
Royal
Viking
Star
for
Royal
Viking
Line.
In
1981
the
ship
was
lengthened
with
28
metres.
This
was
done
by
cutting
the
ship
in
two
after
which
the
new
section
was
placed
in
between.
After
the
cruise
line
went
bankrupt
the
ship
was
sold
to
Norwegian
Cruise
Line
(NCL)
as
MS
Westward.
In
1996
Fred.
Olsen
Cruise
Lines
bought
the
ship.
At
the
end
of
2015
the
hull
of the white ship was repainted in grey with a red line.
